Westfield Turns 300

This year the town of Westfield Celebrates its 300th anniversary. We are so proud to be part of this amazing and tight-knit community. It’s so rich in history, with its roots beginning with European immigrants in 1720, Westfield became an official town in 1903.

Now this vibrate town of about 30,000, filled with adorable boutiques, like The Farmhouse Store, and delicious bakeries like Bovella’s Bakery, is where we call home. A New York Times article said, “this central Union County town offers characteristics typically associated with urban living — a bustling downtown, a vibrant cultural scene and good transportation options — along with many benefits of suburban living, like attractive homes, well-regarded schools and a sense of community.”

Here are some facts we love about our town:

All year long, the town of Westfield is looking to celebrate its 300th anniversary and pay homage to its unique and rich history with events that include music festivals, art exhibits, a town-wide party, historical reenactments, a lights celebration and so much more. The goal is to “Unite the community around a bold and shared vision for the future that establishes Westfield as a model 21st century live, work, and play community for its residents, businesses, and visitors.”
