Fall Foods That Are Great For Your Teeth

Fall is only a few days away. Are you picturing all the delicious foods that come with this new season? We certainly are. Did you know some of them are actually great sources of nutrients for your teeth and gums?

Here are a few of our favorite fall foods that can help you feel festive and still keep your teeth healthy.

  • Apples - an apple a day may not keep the dentist away, but they do contain fiber, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C – all great for bone, enamel, and gum health

  • Cranberries - contain Polyphenols with antioxidant properties that can help with oral inflammation, infections, and oral diseases and reduce the risk of oral tumor growth

  • Kale - high in calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, folic acid, and fiber

  • Pumpkin - high in magnesium, which together with calcium work together to build strong teeth and enamel

  • Carrots - high in plaque-attacking keratin as well as Vitamin A, crucial for tooth enamel and saliva production

  • Sweet Potatoes - are also high in fiber and Vitamin A
