Getting You to Dental Wellness

It’s no secret that many people don’t like going to the dentist. They want to take care of their mouths, but just don’t make it priority. It can be for fear of bad news regarding dental health, cost, pain, lack of trust or difficulty scheduling time. However dental care must make its way to the top of everyone’s to-do list. I mean, who really wants to deal with cavities and gum disease, but “more than 1 in 4 (26%) adults in the United States have untreated tooth decay and Nearly half (46%) of all adults aged 30 years or older show signs of gum disease; severe gum disease affects about 9% of adults.”

Eek!

So, where do you begin? First thing’s first! Find a dentist you feel comfortable with and trust. We know that’s not always easy choosing a dentist and we understand the frustrations of finding someone you trust. Rest assured that with us you’ll find a partner to help you achieve dental wellness. We want you to feel amazing after your experience with us and keep coming back year after year. We’ll start with the basics – dental exam, x-rays, a cleaning and go from there. We’ll take care of the rest and of course, you too.

But what can you do at home to better take care of your teeth in between visits? Obviously the most important things are brushing and flossing regularly, but there are few things you can do or avoid for better oral health:

  • Use fluoride

  • Quit smoking

  • Use antimicrobial mouthwash regularly

  • Limit sugary foods and starches

  • Drink more water

  • Eat more fiber rich fruits and vegetables

  • Take vitamin supplements like vitamin D and calcium
